Her work often uses creatures she named “Nasty Bois” as a representation of what people would look like if they wore all their baggage on their skin, viewing people as amalgamations of experiences and traumas. Rheann is a dedicated and detail driven artist who is concerned with displaying human experiences and how growth is supported through relationships.

My work is a variation of ever-changing feelings surrounding my experiences, I enjoy seeing my growth through my pieces. I often use printmaking as a snapshot of my current mental state. In this way, I can see how I am changing. I like to experiment in different mediums, but printmaking is a comforting, physical art form that allows me to process my life through labor. Printmaking lends itself the freedom to be manipulated through editions while also providing multiples of an original copy that takes away the anxiety of only having one physical work.
I hope through my work that people can find solace through relation. Standing as an observer and recording my perspective in detail, as a way to process trauma and the complicated feelings that come with it. Reflection is something we do on a daily basis, it is a powerful tool in understanding ourselves. I want to show that someone is listening, someone is noticing and someone is keeping score.
